Today we re-filmed our sequence, in the same place (The Pod) as before. However, this time we used a much stronger light and this greatly improved the visability and clarity of our shots. We also filmed each shot a lot more times (4/5 for each one) to ensure that we had at least one good one for the final edit. This will also help our continuity as it will allow us to 'cherry pick' the best shots in terms of sequence. We used different actors due to availabilty but we beliece they worked well.
Tomorrow in the media lesson we will be editing together our shots and burning them to a disc. If we don't finish this task in tomorrow's lesson, we have a further hour on Wednesday as well as frees in which to finalise.
Hopefully these shots will look alot more successful on screen than our previous ones, which in theory they should as we were very careful to focus the camera and change the white balance when needed.

Fifth Blog
we have decided to reshoot our filming on monday 15th after college, because the quality of our original filming wasn't a good enough standard in our opinion and wanted to improve some of the shots. Some of these shots were wonky where the camera was not straight or shakey on some of the moving shots.
The lighting was also quite bad as it was not strong enough; meaning the shots were too dark and the characters could not be seen properly when moving or stationary.
it was a group decision to reshoot all of our footage and we are planning to take many mulitiple shots to make sure we have enough footage incase some go wrong again.
We are going to keep the same location and set up, except for we are going to use a big spotlight instead of a torch to emphasise lighting to how we want it. We will also be using different actors because the original people aren't avaliable.
We are currently replanning and revisualising the storyboard to fit the new adjustments.
We shall also take some new photos of the reshoot to show our changes and set up, and put these on this blog.

Fourth Blog.
Hannah and Keira are just getting the equipment ready for filming today after college (after this lesson) whilst me (Nicole)and Grace are posting this blog.
I'm currently finishing off a neater version of the storyboard at home whilst Grace has collected a variety of props for our production. We have just taken a photograph of Mark Ransom for the profile on him using a spotlight and a still camera.
We shall definitely be filming in either the Hubb or the threatre studio as they both have good settings for the atmosphere we're trying to create.
We are now going to go help set up, and hopefully everything will go according to plan!

Third Blog
In our last media lesson we got the setting confirmed (we will be using either the Drama Pod or Old Drama Studio - both of which should be free for when we need them), Hannah and I booked a camera and we found two people willing to be in our production. Grace made the props and Nicole is finishing the storyboard (from a draft version I drew up, she is now doing a neater, more precise version).
We will be filming after college on Monday (7th Dec), starting at 3:00pm as that's when most of the group finish, including the main actor. We aim to finish by 5:00pm, but we will see how it goes as we want to make sure every shot is good in terms of clarity and continuity.
We have all agreed to being in different things we may need in terms of costume and extra props, though we don't need much as our storyline does not require many extras.
The only thing we will not be able to provide ourselves is a large torch, which we will borrow from the Theatre Office.

Keira Smalley (Group E)
p.s. I am adding a video of the 180 degree rule (I think it is the same one we were shown in Marion's lesson), to demonstrate one way in which we will maintain continuity.

Second Blog
We've now decided on an idea, drawn a rough storyboard and have started planning for setting, props, actors, costume etc.
We have a media lesson last period today and will hopefully be getting everything sorted out ready to start filming (possibly on Monday after college).
We plan to use either a darkened room such as the old drama studio or pod, and a corridoor.
